Tickets go on sale December 1
Following a successful inaugural edition in 2015, preparations for the second edition of the Drummondville National Bank Challenger are well underway. The organizing committee announced Tuesday the new additions planned for the second edition of the $50,000 ATP Challenger event which will be held from March 12-20, 2016 at Tennis intérieur René-Verrier in Drummondville.
Already recognized for the quality of its facilities and player services, the Drummondville National Bank Challenger will be making several improvements including the addition of nine new box seats and a radar will be installed to measure serve speeds. Lighting on the secondary courts and directional signage will also be improved.
Michaël Roy named honourary president
Michaël Roy has been named honourary president for the tournament in 2016. Anchor for the 5 p.m. newscast on TVA Sports, Michaël Roy began his broadcast career in Drummondville. He started in radio and covered 325 games for the Drummonville Voltigeurs of the Quebec major junior hockey league (LHJMQ). Passionate about all sports, Michaël Roy has covered many sporting events in addition to being a sports reporter for Salut, bonjour ! week-end for four years.
Tickets go on sale December 1
Tickets for the second edition of the Drummondville National Bank Challenger will go on-sale beginning December 1, 2015. Individual tickets range from $3 to $25. Series tickets to enjoy the who week of tennis are also available starting at $45 for kids and students who under 18 and $90 for adults.
